| Although I can trace my roots back into Denmark and Norway, a much larger part of my roots also come from right here in England! With this and my interest in history, I thought it only natural to learn the language of the Anglo-Saxons, Old English. Does anyone else here have experience with Old English? | |

| I've studied Old English for a few years... and although I have confidence in my pronunciation, I am much better in Old Norse than in Old English. But yeah, I love Old English poetry.  | |

| That's one reason I stared learning it! That and I'd like to be competent in the languages of my ancestors and my general interest in history. Hence why I learn Old English, Middle English (especially because of my interest in High Medieval England) and Old Norse. | |

| Sveinn, I meant to ask you: what are the rules governing the use of the word "a" in OE?
I'm not sure what the word is, if it would even be used, or the declension if it used! | |

| Easy to remember then Now to learn how to use the new case that OE has given me...Instrumental case! I hope it's pretty standard; I can't find many declensions for it. | |
