Lost in translation - need help!

Hi, I recently started to learn old norse, so I still know too little about this fascinating language, though I want to go further in my "studies"
That's why I'm asking some help with a translation. The grammar part always confuses me!
How do I say "Out of the great sea" in old Norse? The part "the great" is confusing me because of the "the" article. If you guys could help me, I'd appreciate!
